Learners are often told to: Study harder. Concentrate more. Read it again. Repeat it until you remember it.
But remembering is not only about effort. Changing how you organise, connect and imagine information can change what happens when you try to recall it.
That is what our practical 4-hour online memory systems workshop for Grade 8–11 learners is about.
IMAGINE IF YOU HAD “A GOOD MEMORY”
Our memory systems workshop begin with a simple challenge: TESTING HOW WELL YOU CAN YOU REMEMBER 20 RANDOM ITEMS IN THE CORRECT ORDER?
You’ll have a fixed amount of time and can use whatever approach you would normally use. No memory system. No special technique. Just you, the information and your usual strategy.
Then we change the strategy.
MEET MEMORY SYSTEMS. You’ll build a structured set of 20 memory anchors, practise using them and then face a new 20-item challenge. Same number of items. Different information. But this time: YOU HAVE A SYSTEM.
Then we ‘stretch’ you by applying the system to meaningful information, using a real-world list as the next challenge. The point is not to prove that you suddenly have a “better memory”. It is to discover something more useful: CHANGE THE SYSTEM >> CHANGE THE RESULT.
